Dark Souls is going to be bigger than Skyrim. It might not be as infinitely playable, but in terms of the quantity of unique content to explore

It doesn't say it's bigger than Skyrim...judging by the fact that all the area's are unique and there are plenty of different enemies I would say this game is most likely smaller than Skyrim. Both will be so fun to play though.
