Forums - Gaming - FFXIII-2 Will Have Casino's, Chocobo Racing, Battle Leader Switching etc. (links to two new trailers)

FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 will have some intense scenes as well, although not on the same level as FINAL FANTASY Type-0. QTEs will be a big part of the game, but failing them doesn’t necessarily penalize you. Clearing them will net you at least something, however.

By far the greatest addition is party switching. In FINAL FANTASY XIII-2, you’ll be able to switch out party leaders in real time during battle. This also means that, when your party leader dies, you will no longer game over.

As a part of Sony’s Tokyo Game Show Play Live series, FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 producer Yoshinori Kitase had a few moments to share some new details.

Much like the Gold Saucer in FINAL FANTASY VII, you’ll be able to enter an amusement part of sorts. Inside will be a casino with slots, chocobo racing, and a great number of mini-games.

I don't want to get hyped for the game but it's actually sounding good.

A lot of positive comments, good to hear.

that is nice and all, but i still don't like the characters damnit

Looking at the new trailers, characters, story and voice acting seems to have taken a considerable drop in quality. I'm happy with the actual gameplay improvements but that still doesn't make up for it in my opinion.

Something similar to the Gold Saucer in FFXIII-2 sounds epic though :D

^This.

I just want to point out how few comments this positive thread has gotten after being up since this morning. The thread that simply said "The 360 version is going to be on one disc" got a monstrous amount of responses. Why is that?

Better than that piece of shit story in Final Fantasy X!

(I'm kidding, it's my favourite story out of any game I have played, period)

Still, Final Fantay XIII's isn't that bad. The story could use some work and and could be better explained (but then again, so could FFX's) and the cast was pretty good minus Vanille.

Because when the words Final Fantasy *insert a randome number* are combined with Xbox 360 the forums go crazy.

God I loved Gold Saucer! God I love Final Fantasy VII!

This is actually the most exciting news I've heard about XIII-2, and I'm not even looking forward to the game.
