As someone here said, games are cheaper in UK than any other Europe or Middle East countries. I import my games from UK and I know from the forums that thousands of other people in my country do the same.

Thank you for that comparision, even if it makes me a little sad. I knew that the japanese market isn't as big as back in the days but damn... :(
At least there's still a big gap in hardware sales, but IMO software sales means more.

Japan is a much bigger game market with around 125 million people, twice as much as UK. What about the hardware numbers??

We could but on our polish forum i frequent 3-4 people import from Japan and few dozens import from UK ;)

One has a huge import barriers (language, high prices , high shipping cost) while other has only benfits (same english version we would get anyway, cheaper, almost free shipping.

Personally 80% of my PS3/PS2/PSP games were bought in UK.
