Less than any post FFVI FF sans XII (I think), and unlike most of those, it was actually multiplat. Either way, all the ones on PS1 outdid it only on said platform, even without their PC versions.

I'd talk about XIII's quality, but I need to give some other haters room, too ;)

edit: It also outsold IX, god knows why.

I believe VII and X both have more sales then XIII. So it is probably the 3rd best selling game in the series. All FFs are far behind FF11 though revenue wise.

On another hand i'm really tired of seeing this thread pop up almost every week. Is it dieing? No. Is it changing? Yes.

You need to do one thing. Either accept and embrace that change or deny it and move onto something else.

Personally I like change. XII and XIII may not be the best in the series but they are damn fine games. I'm proud of the work SE put into them.

Agreed, I may not have played any other FF games but IMO FF13 is a very good game and if that's the direction they are moving in then I approve of it.

So they made one absolute colossal failure and one polarizing game, hardly killing it.

I hated XIII, and I hate how they're gonna make and release a sequel to it before finishing VsXIII, I also hate MMORPG's, but most FF games are phenomenal, so yeah, they're doing just fine.

Precisely. That game has a damn good shot at best PSP game. I wonder if it can dethrone Crisis Core for me.

yep i thnk the same...the ONLY thing imho that Crisis Core might have an edge over Type-0 is Zack. but then again it might be a matter of getting know the new characters of Type-0. I'm also hoping they would at least release it on PSN cuz I would like t play the game on PSV, analog will be more helpful to play the game..and in OLED

It is theirs to kill.

Really now, there are some that make it sound like SE ran over their dog.

There are probably as many people who love FFXIII as hate it and Im sitting right in the middle.

Has the series taken a step backwards? Sure.
Is the series dead? FFXIII has sold (according to SE) 6.2m copies. That does not sound like a dead series to me.

Maybe Im crazy, but Im looking forward to FFX HD.
