Level-5 CEO: PlayStation Vita “hard like a Battleship”

During Sony’s Play LIVE event at this week’s Tokyo Game Show, Level-5 president and CEO Akihiro Hino was asked to describe PlayStation Vita. He thinks the device is quite firm.

“Hard like a battleship,” he responded, before comparing the handheld’s large number of features to a battleship’s large number of weapons and functions. “Almost like the Space Battleship Yamato,” he concluded, referencing the battleship from the anime (pictured).

Level-5 has yet to formally announce projects for PlayStation Vita, but a title release list issued by Sony earlier this week confirms the developer is making a new RPG for the handheld.

Level-5′s latest work, Ni no Kuni, a PlayStation 3 RPG in development alongside Studio Ghibli, will release in Japan this November, and in North America early next year.

Probably meant "strong"?

That's the first thing I think of when I think about a battleship. --How hard it is.

I think he meant "robust", but it was lost in translation.
