Well with only 994 sales this week it's pretty much dead now. Don't see any Japanese game that can chance it.

seriously there's chance

1.fire Takashi Sensui

2.bring back Yoshihiro Maruyama<-this guy was Square COO before he joined MS at 2002,and he made Lost Odyssey,Blue Dragon,Infinite Undiscovery and N3,but sadly he got fired before Blue Dragon release

insteresting. I wasn't familiar with that. What was the reason of his firing?

one reason:sales

he target 360 sold 1m in japan before summer 2006

not only japan doesn't have the hype for kinect but all other region too, US is the only region left that its still selling fine now...

I doubt it will really do any better, judging by how anything xbox related seems to do terrible there.

^this

This is an old topic, I predicted the outcome even before it came out in the Asian market. It's amazing that an Asian man would know what Asians generally want or don't want, isn't it?

Does it matter. From Japans presence this gen, it's not all that anymore. Long, long development times and far fewer consoles.

1. Do you think MS should consider pulling out of Japan?

I've avoided commenting on this question before, but I just can't stand it anymore.

No-one should ask this question - it's stupid.

Care to explain why you consider it a stupid question?

They have a user base in Japan.

True. I personally don't see them leaving japan any time soon or at least for a long time. I do however think it is a fair question. The scenario is very real that X360 sales could stay at very poor around a 1,000 a week. They are no doubt losing money with advertising, paying employees stationed in japan, ect. Their product has apparently become fairly stagnant there. The purpose of my question is that if conditions remain the same and do not change while MS continues to lose money the question should be on the table IMO. If a company is bleeding money and no changes happen for an extended period of time then a business decision must be made. I doubt they will leave any time in the near future due to their established base, but in reality they are losing money. If nothing changes I think it is a fair question.
