I have followed him for quite some time, and I have no IDEA what you are talking about.  Cliff posts his mind about a lot of things and he does, admitedly let his tweets ramble all over the place, not just video games.  But whine?  And consistently?   Sorry dude, that is BS.

Regarding the tweet about cab drivers you were referring too, he said something about if they claim to take cards, they should take cards, not act like the machine is broken.  As a business traveller, that's not whining, thats the freaking truth.  I LOOK for taxis that take cards, so they shouldn't BS me when the fare is done because they want their tip in cash.

Personally, i think the hate for Cliff is mostly rooted in jealousy.  And Jim Sterling's hypocrisy, as noted already in this thread, is amazingly dismissed to focus on Cliff.  NEVER would have seen that coming from THIS community...HAHA

As to Cliffy, I understand actually his point.

For example. Reach was better than Halo 3 in every way. And yet many reviewers rated it lower than 3. You can argue that the competition has increased?

No I dont think so. Halo cant really be compared to much on the market at all. And the same is said for Gears. You could argue Uncharted? Not really, the games are very different.

So to have a review of a game which ALL are saying is better than 2 including Eurogamer, and then rate it lower is exactly why many reviews are broken and disjointed.

GTA4 is another example of what the hell. GTA3 was much better in the gameplay department yet GTA4 destroyed it in reviews.

My advice to people is dont listen to reviews. AT ALL.

My faveourite games this gen are not all in the 90's. And many 90+ games dont sell as good or among the general gamers rated as as good as mant -90 games.

Alot of reviewers imo are now just Employees rather than actual gamers. Remember corporations ( which is what they are ) like these big review companies and magazine companies are out to make money first and foremost. And that DOES include rocking the boat for hits.

This will happen on all fronts PS3, Wii and 360.

The only people I trust for an opinion on games are my friends and fellow gamers who game on the 360. That is where I get my feedback.

what a coincidence, two of those words are what I use to describe Sterling. Along with sexist, bigoted, hypocritical, whiny, insecure, unprofessional, childish, arrogant, and piggish. The guy is two steps away from either a libel or sexual harassment case

Good for these reviewers, the gaming media needs to be more hard on games these days. Just because your game is hyped up and sports flashy graphics, doesn't mean it automatically deserves a perfect score. And furthermore 8/10 is still considered a very good score! Cliffy B is just a whiny brat.

he is whining about one reviewer giving his game an 8/10. Why should i give him some credit? His game is already hailed as an excellent one as it currently stands at an 91. The sheer arrogance from cliffy B is disgracefull. David jaffe is another guy that can't shut up. Most of ye clearly do not understand how review scores should be graded. Jim reviews games on a proper 10 point scale, unlike 90% of the "reviewers" out there. An 8/10 in the proper scales is classed as an excellent game but not a perfect one which gears 3 isnt.  

Cliffy B's opinion does sound greedy and ungratefull.
