Forums - Nintendo - This Skyward Sword footage has 100% ERASED all my fears and doubts about the game!!

@OP, looking at your sig, no one could tell you weren't hyped for the game. I've been hyped mainly because they've shown so little to get excited about, and from my experience, most of the time Nintendo is relatively quiet about something until very close to its launch, it ends up being groundbreaking. And vice versa. I mean, look at all the pre Other M hype.

I am never really worried for a zelda game. The only thing that ever really annoys me is that first barrier. Why do we almost always have to start out in some village where we are stuck for hours upon hours. I am worried that we will have to do the village/dungeon before we can go and explore everything else. Yes....the town in the second N64 game was considered a long dungeon to me that never ended! lol But I have to admit this game looks hella cool!!!

I hesitated before I added those last two exclamation points.

This was actually the first time I heavily followed a Zelda game pre-release. The other ones I just bought when they were released without much proir knowledge about each. I started following game news around the time Zelda:TP released

That's why I was so worried >_< (Never again!)

Finally gonna get motion plus!!! XD

To be honest, it was cool, but it didn't blow me away...

...however, THIS looked epic, it sealed the deal.

I just love making sigs and stuff XD

Actually, a friend of mine here asked to make him a Skyward Sword sig once, I got jealous and made one for myseld as well n_n

But yeah, I wasn't that hyped when I first saw the game, I had gotten used to the dark theme of TP, I LOVED that game to death! When they decided to go in another direction I wasn't very happy

But now that I've seen what an epic game SS is turning out to be I don't care about the style anymore and I even like it now XD

Yeah I saw that footage too, pretty nice additions to the game! :D

I hope I don't spoil the whole game from ecxitement >_<

But the footage you showed was really nice, it also cleared my doubt that Nintendo was treating this as a less important Zelda instead of a main one.

It looks far more polished that it was shown on E3 10.

I've never had a first-day purchase ever before, but I'm seriously considering this game to be my first-day buy. The video showed that there may be a lot of things to do in this game; i mean, compared to WW's & TP's overworld where there was a lot of nothing.

@morenoingrato
Thanks! I love collecting stuff from beaten enemies like that. Your video just added a little more excitement for me.

I hope that the upgrade system is needed primarily, due to the difficulty of the enemies. I don't want the upgrades if it's just going to be used as a prerequisite to unlock the boss challenge and the second playthrough.

looks like you still have wii mote precision, but combined with a z-targeting system so that you st least don't stop facing your opponent. Similar to Metroid Prime 3's Strafing system.

Not too much more excited than I was before, but forsure still going to get the game.

Um what? That been a part of Zelda ever since OoT and they’ve had it in SS ever since we saw the first footage of it :P

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

It looks really amazing. I love how Link can sprint now (without needing bunny ears )

I already have my Collector's Edition reserved at Gamestop.
