Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo 3DS to get video camera support this November

This will suck for video chat, you won't be able to look at the screen while recording yourself and neither can your friend. Though I could definatly see girls sending strip teases to their boyfriends in 3D. Nintendo needs to create a channel where you can send each other these videos or post them on a YouTube like channel for 3DS users everywhere to see each others videos!

I wouldn't entrust my nude 3D videos to Nintendo. How about private email?

A channel where you can send your vids to someone on your friends list, you'd be trusting Nintendo with an email as well. I mean seriously if your system is online Nintendo can see everything on it. I don't think they have any interest in hunting down nude footage and exploiting it. In the same way all of your emails are also not private Microsoft or Google or who ever your email is through could access those video's anytime they wish.

A Nintendo channel where you can send other users on your friends list video's or share your video's with the public would be awesome. The only problem I see is that of course BF's and GF's will send each other video's and those teens and pre-teens will likely be under age. Parent's would freak if they found out their kids were sending each other 3D video's of a sexual nature.

Thus I'm guessing Nintendo won't give us a way to distribute or share our video's. A scandal about under age teens sending sexual content to one another over Nintendo's network would make parents freak. On the other hand I think this will be inevitable since teens and such will find a way to share their 3D video's with or without Nintendo's consent. Meaning that this scandal is inevitably going to occur anyways so Nintendo might as well just offer a video sharing service!

3D vids nice, some private moment will look even more huge.

Why do they even add this when more important features people actually want and more importnatly need are still missing?

Enlighten me? What features do people "need" from this video game console, xD? Unless you mean games, which is a need that is already being gradually fulfilled.

This is actually one of the bigger features that I've been waiting for for one and a half years. 3D video recording ought to be a lot of fun. I was disappointed I didn't get normal video recording on DSi.

A system to message people on your friend lists, currently it is impossible to organise playing a game online with someone unless you use another system to do it.

I'm nearly certain that Nintendo intentionally excluded that feature. It definitely makes the process tedious, but Nintendo would rather its services not be used for people cursing at each other and stuff when they don't know each other through anything else. It would kill Nintendo's reputation if a parent caught a ten-year-old being harased over somebody he met over the 3DS.

It goes overboard with avoiding risks since it prevents any social contact, but "better safe than sorry" is practically Nintendo's motto in such situations.

an online equivalent of pictochat would be killer IMO

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!
