simple question,has anybody played driver? Is it just one of those games that nobody cares about? If someone actually has played the new driver,what did you think of it? 

Sometimes I feel that I'm the only fan of Driver on the whole site. Despite this, I'm still not going to get the 3DS version until it drops in price because apparently it isn't particularly good. I might get the Wii version though.

On the PS1, the first one was epic. After that, it all went to shit. By the time GTA3 came out in 2001, nobody gave a damn about the Driver franchise anymore.

that's not really a fair comparison. there not really the same thing.

But the general consensus was that GTA 3 was Driver and then some or rather Driver was a fraction of GTA 3. I played the demo of the latest Driver game and I didn't really like it. The first Driver was amazing though. 

I've played a Driver game on the PS2...died and failed a lot but that was when I was worthless at all videogames.

I would like to play the new one but funds won't permit me to get it.

I liked the first two. After that, I've never had the chance to try the newer games.

I've played the new Driver and it's very good indeed. Driver 3 was an abomination, but don't let that put you off. The new one has all the good elements of the first Driver on PS1, but has updated itself to include aspects of other good modern car games, such as Burnout and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. It's my nice surprise game of the year.

Driver 1 and 2 were awesome, after that it sucked.
