You're right.  But you're still going to have a hard time finding someone who actually plays Driver.  Sorry.  Just go to youtube and check out a couple of user reviews.  If you like what you see, pick it up.  Just be wary of the series' dubious reputation.  I buy a lot of games that the mainstream deem unspectacular.  Often I end up enjoying them.  Sometimes, they actually suck.  Anyway, good luck.  Let us know how it goes!
