It looks amazing. Let's hope Nintendo will publish this in the west right around launch. Local multiplayer would have been amazing. Jeez, this would have hit huge with the Wii crowd.

Well, they kept lots of good things from the DS version. And you can play it offline, too. So the online mode is an asset, not a liability.

Send the game to Wii U is a good choice... the Wii should die in a few years and DQX can be a good title for the Wii U's debut (at least in Japan).

But that's not the best choice for Square Enix... Wii U/Wii/PS3 would have been the best option for making money (again... at least in Japan).

Well WiiU was a smart choice only didn't expected that it becomes online and sounds like a game that you end playing a lot of online cause singleplayer wise it will be hard to play the game..

I hope there is still a deep single player experience with an interesting story worth playing on your own, and not just an MMO with bots when playing by yourself - those always feel so hollow in comparison to actual single player campaigns...

DQX is a single player game with a rich storyline.

The online features are only additions.

Love it! Will absolutely be playing online, though I'm glad there are offline options for those who aren't interested. This is my most anticipated game after Bioshock Infinite and The Last Guardian now.
