Forums - Microsoft - Battlefield 3 is two discs on Xbox 360

good

i think all devs need to do this

finally they are starting to use blu ray for what it does best :)

take advantage of what you have THIS GEN(blu ray) and stop taking the 1 disc 8 gig limit route then they can just make the 360 have multiple disc AND we will all have a better game

the devs should just make the game around ps3 THEN make it have multiple disc's for 360

i would of course get the game that's on 1 disc if i had both console's but in the end we all win :)

i don't mind 2 disc is fine.

I have no problem with this as long as its the single player on one disc and multiplayer on the other. Which is how they should have done the Gears games so they could have added more epicness.

my thoughts exactly

meh...doesn't seem like a big deal...getting the PS3 version anyway

thats all well and good, but the problem is that MS charges for more than one disc. I believe that Ninty also charges for use of the dual layer disc, you can see how some devs might not be gaga for that idea

PS3 is the only console that hasn't had multiple discs this generation.
*raises glass*

What Wii game had multiple discs?

Wii is last generation, nobody told you yet?

*trollface*

I could care less if its two discs. In fact I've always found it incredibly strange when people complain about switching discs. Honestly if your that lazy that moveing 2 feet to switch a disc which takes 10 seconds then you shouldn't be playing games in the first place. Get up, go outside, and get a freaking workout lol

I think you will find if you have a large collection, OCD and a darkened room then it can take 10 seconds alone to find the disc before you even get around to finding the disc...

But seriously, doesn't really matter, personally I will be buying it for PS3 cause of free multiplayer, the game is looking great and people should very definitely not be put off by something minor like this

Microsoft does not charge a royalty per disc

2 discs are fine, as long as they put Singleplayer on one disc and MP on the other. Quite a good solution actually.

updated: 14.01.2012

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

i have literally purchased games because i was too lazy to swap a disc before. is it the end of the world??  of course not but don't tell me it isn't an inconvenience...that's why the tv remote was invented, because people didn't want to get up to change the channel anymore.  it's why mp3s are soo much better than cd's too.  it's why i watch so much more netflix now (on my ps3); cause the disc based solution sucked.

..and i do go outside and workout.
