Just started playing a new online game, and the English option was represented by the Union Jack - nothing wrong with that, right? 

But look more closely at the flag, and hopefully some of you would realise that it is a MIRRORED IMAGE. The thick-white bar should be in the top left of the flag, as shown below.

I see this mistake a lot, and it makes me wonder how many people actually realise that the flag isn't the same both ways up :S This is really just a rant, because I've got nothing better to do at this time of night :P Sad really :(

It's called the Union Flag on land, it's only referred to as the Union Jack when it is flown at a bow of a ship

Also, I remember several boys having to resow their Union Flags on their shirts, years ago when I was in the scouts for putting it upside boys (or more likely their mothers did)

OT: Doesn't bother me as much as when England itself is represented by the Union Flag.
