I second the earlier suggestion, grab Gears 1 and 2 and a mate and go through the campaign in splitscreen, will be awesome 15-20 hour bonanza of fun (more if you go back to chalk of the insane difficulty). It will also nicely prepare you for Gears 3 which will be mind blowing! I say grab a friend because coop really is king in the franchise and I've not found any other game that's more fun to play in coop.

yeah it sucks but i get to play all my ps3 games on my roommates ps3 so it isnt too horrible

Well it's not like it's really HD....the best Xbox 360 games are only 640p anyway.

And...I'm so sorry you got a 360. I would have just gotten a comparable PC, it would have been cheaper.

just halo reach but i was thinkin of gettin gears 1 n 2 or alan wake tomorrow. any reccomendations?

The Gears of War triple pack seems like it should be a good buy for you. It has Gears 1 and 2 as well as some DLC included all for $30 or less. I'd get it myself if I didn't already have Gears 1/2. Alan Wake is also good, I enjoyed that as well.

If you're into racing then Forza 3 Ultimate is good as it contains just about all of the extra DLC and it's pretty cheap. (Though Forza 4 is coming out soon.)

RPG's, then Tales of Vesperia or Lost Odyssey would be good choices.
