Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's PAX booth (review)

I disagree. They are there to represent Nintendo.

And good article, Joelcool7. Very informational. Too bad you couldn't have asked them to about The Last Story and Xenoblade.

I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!

Oh my, you seem to take all this too seriously. Those guys are there to ensure everyone gets a turn at playing the games, they are not there for some elitist gamer to behave haughty and complain they know too little.

Nice one bro.

Good review. I'm pleased Nintendo's developers aren't there, means there working hard on making some games.

sounds like great fun with incompetent employees.

well written

Great review. It was well written and informative. Hopefully Skyward Sword is more difficult than the previous 3D Zelda's

Best part of your entire write-up for me.

"Zelda: Skyward Sword ... [definitely] was far more difficult then I remember previous Zelda titles being."

That was really exciting for me, I don't know why? Very well done, I liked all the details. That was strange that Nintendo did not have people more knowledgeable though! Even if you go to a fair every booth there will have someone who knows something about the products being sold. This was basically a gaming fair.
Was Zelda fun? You said it was extremely hard , but was it extremely fun as well?

Yes Skyward Sword is a master peice it is very enjoyable. I think alot of the difficulty I had was due to the WM+ and how sensative it is. You need to attack perfectly. I kept wanting to just flick my wrists like TP but you need to actually aim and put effort in to ensure your attacks work.

I'm sure if I had played the game from the beginning had the tutorials and such, it might have been easier. But it was fairly difficult just picking it up and playing. The beetle is awsome and very responsive I can see it being used as a key element in the game, back at E3 I wondered how well it would be implemented but I was pretty impressed.

While I didn't play the flying demo or the boss battle. Both looked amazing, I think the game will definatly impress. The thing with Nintendo is they do not release half assed products and this is yet another example of how they make a product perfect prior to launch.

I am very happy to hear that! Again great thread!

On a side note I went to Target and played Wii play + or wii motion plus I think its called? The skipping stone game was pretty fun! Maybe I will buy it. If the price is right. I mention this because it may have not recieved high scores, but the accuracy is spot on for this game.

that looked like the most fun minigame in the entire collection to me.

I'm hoping it gets added to future Zelda games, seems like it would fit well.

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

Ahhh, you are so lucky...  I completely agree, this game is going to be a master piece.

What is the next event that you are going to ? I cannot wait for your next review of it!  For the other guy, yeah rock skipping would go well with Zelda. Just add it to the fishing section!

The next event I will be going to is the Canadian Games Conference next year. Unfortunately my website is only being launched in January so I can't expect to be applicable for E3 in 2012, maybe I can go in 2013. For now PAX and the CGC are the only two conventions I am able to attend. Of course if I had more money to fly all over and go to others I would love to go and report on them. I'm hoping if my website becomes big enough and Fan Expo is scheduled at a different time then PAX next year. I would love to attend Fan Expo in Toronto as well.

Ideally I'd love to go to all the conventions. My friend and I were hoping to save enough to attend TGS next year. But again with launching a new website and all the expenses I will need to cover I'm not to sure I can make it.

But ideally I would love to be at every major gaming conference in the world. So jealous of the guys who go to the other conventions. PAX is great but its once a year (I can't make it to PAX East), I would love to have that experience multiple times each year and report on it would be my dream.
