Forums - Gaming - Rumor: Modern Warfare 3 will host 32-player matches, new Bomb mode

I wonder if itll be like Counter-Strike.

Lol the current Ground War mode is laggy as fuck and that's only 18-player. I'd hate to see 32-player.

Bomb mode? I thought Black Ops already had bomb mode. Let me check.....

*checks*

Oh, it was called "campaign". Sorry. I got confused.

But can I drive a tank and blow up a building full of campers?....Thought so....BF3 it is LOL

Why are Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 both capped at 18 players then? I always figured it was due to the fact that the game was already pushing the consoles too far already (the 360, at least). Was Activision merely "lazy" up until now?

Lag.

It's just that simple.

COD series generally has small maps, and runs at 60 fps, so having 32-player matches would not only cause a drop in the frame rate, it would also make every match play out like "Shipment" on COD4 or "Rust" on MW2 with everyone getting killed every 5 seconds and players spawn camping like crazy.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Not to mention the crap-load of noobtubes and killstreak spam. That would be so chaotic.

Frontlines fuel of wars for xbox and pc had 60 players.

they use dedicated servers, but P2P matchmaking, P2P is where the Host is someones console modem. This causes an array of issues from host discontentions, to long wait times between games, and horrible contections. While many games, pc and even consoles used dedicated servers which are servers located in server farm or someone home and offer high upload  rates allowing more players at a solid connection to your average internet users modem.

So this is going to be for PC dedicated servers. As this on console P2P would be horrible belong belief and a complete lag fest like there 18 player mode.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

MAG for PS3 are 256 players. Resistance 2 are 60 player, Resistance Fall Of Man are 40, Killzone 2 are 32 players...
