So, the holiday season is coming and I'm wondering how Kinect will fare. Last year it did amazing, with amazing numbers in America and good ones in EMEAA.

However, the numbers for the last weeks have been acceptable in America and practically nonexistent in EMEAA.

Is Kinect's sales pattern like that of Wii where sales are quite low during the year and then spike massively during xmas?

How do you think it will perform?

IMO, it will do much better than now, but quite worse than last year. It will probably do amazing numbers in America again (say, 70% as much), but not nearly as much in EMEAA. So I'm thinking it'll do about 50%-60% of last year's numbers which, mind you, it's still a lot.

This is of course if there is no price cut for either XBox or Kinect.

you still got to remember that id say around %50-%60 come bundled along with HW

doesnt look like therell be price cuts most likely is that the 250gb will be replaced with the 320gb for $299 to compete with sonys 320gb @299, they'll probably just drop the kenict bundles by $50 so they can resemble sonys bundles

its to bad we wont really know cause there wont be the weekly or was it monthly report of how many they shipped WW like we had last year and early this yr, will hear from it again once they ship 20M

I think Forza 4 headtracking is a killer. I believe it's the next big thing for racing games. This has the potential to really push kinect this year.

so i would say they will sell around like 60% of what they did last holiday, like you said

GT5 already does this with PS Eye.

You are right just checked some vids. Thx for clearing up my mind. I'm nat a race fan so that'swhy I didn't know. After seeing some vids I also became more sceptical about this feature. I believe that one TV isn't enough and will hinder the experience, probably need 3 TVs. 

Microsoft could still thru adverting though, me thinks.

What other games can push Kinect this year? Other than Forza 4?

Rise of Nightmares, Dance Central 2, Disney Kinect, Kinect sports, sesame street, Powerup Heroes, Gunstringer, Halo Anniversary, Just Dance 3, and thats just from the top of my head. There are a lot more 3rd party games I didn't mention.
