What are they supposed to say? We like money so no price cut?
No.
I think there is no chance 360 will be number 1 world wide this year.
And most probably assume the 360 will take America, but I think even that may be in danger for Microsoft.

Call me crazy if you want, but I see PS3 taking all regions this holiday.

Well, that would be a very bad prediction, even with a slim model and $100 cut vs 360 having nothing, PS3 couldn't win. Sounds like wishful thinking more than anything

That's Q1, tallies up to 280 - 300k, so for Europe I doubt it's a million.

Interesting that 360 is that close to PS3 in EU over Q1 2011. 300k isnt alot. Considering PS3 is sold in more territoriess as well. 

M$ havent had a price cut for ages now. he next cut should be phenominal. Should do good numbers as it will really hit mass market price. They have done well to not price cut react for the last 2 years. It's something we all should remeber when talking of sales for 360 over the last 2 years. PS3 has had 3 price cuts since the last 360 one. I say the 360 has done a great job selling without those price cuts. 

However it did have the 360s release, which sparked sales interest last christmaas.

Yeah sure. Those 

Here in UK 360 went from £199 Arcade to £159. Elite £249 to £209. Those have been the RRP for over 2 years. PS3 in 2 years has gone from £329 to £289 to £229 and that is it's current RRP. It's about to go £199.

Im sorry but with a 100$ price cut and the 360 receiving no price cut whatsoever the PS3 would outperform the 360 in all regions... it would most certainly outsell the 360 by a HUGE margin but it already will with the 50$ price cut.

Do you understand English, what I'm saying? PS3 already had a $100 cut/slim in Americas and didn't beat 360. So a $50 cut for PS3 in Americas when 360 has Kinect is going to push it above 360 in Americas? no.

Perhaps two price cuts on top of eachother make the attraction to buy a PS3 even larger?

And although in this post you speak of a 50$ price cut, you were talking about ANOTHER 100$ price cut so from 300$ to 200$

if you believe a 200$ PS3 would not outperform the Xbox 360 in the US this holiday you are deluded.

 

It's simple math.. a 200$ product having a price cut of 100$ is better then a 800$ product having a price cut of equal quantity, therefor it does not matter what the effects of the last price cut were.

 

And I understand/speak and write English just fine thank you.

they have the slim just like Sony does yet they say they are not going to do what Sony is going to do? unless Sony has a new model that i don't know about
