I have a lot back logs of games to play and I'm waiting for a price drop before I buy it. Not really in a rush to buy it, I will most likely buy it on Black Friday/XMAS or something.

why are you only NOW playing it, i bought it when it came to PS3 and its just as good as people were saying it was, I would imagine most people who wanted to play it, played on their PC if they had no Xbox360, Hell i would have done the same thing if my laptop wasnt a piece of crap

As for the game being a shooter, if ME2 is a shooter, so is  Uncharted which last i checked did pretty well on the PS3......


Actually Uncharted is more like Tomb Raider which PS fans are accustomed to ... btw Uncharted series sells nowhere near 360 levels RPG's, Fighters, Platformers, Action/Adventure and racing games are PS genre's

And Mass Effect is more like an RPG, which PS fans are accustomed to.



Still wrong PS fans are generally JRPG fan's ME is a shooter with a heavy RPG element( or vice versa if you like) we have never played RPG like ME thats more PC, 360 type RPG

Tell that to the sales of pretty much every JRPG on the PS3 besides FF. And you've played Mass Effect 2? Because from the sounds of it you're very confident in your claims about Mass Effect.

This comment only shows that some PS3 owners are  misguided about this game then. Possibly the best new franchise this gen. great RPG.

In this regard i might have to agree somewhat, but i dont know about ME2 being a great RPG, its a great HYBRID, but as a RPG its good and as a shooter its ok, but combined its something wonderful

Hey, I'm a PS fan and we generally don't play shooters :P

what about Fallout 3?? That game is in the same vein as ME2, i think, and it did killer numbers, Especially considering the PS3 version was crap when it debuted. I think it just comes down to being a late port. You could probably count on 2 hands how much ports of games outsell their original game. RE4(PS2 version), Okami, Mario64DS, Kirby Super Star Ultra, thats all i can think of

Let me say that I love ME2 and I have not played the first one as I only own a PS3 and my PC can't play it. Now, I only finished it halfway into the story till I had to return it back in one week to game stop. Because there is no way I am paying that much for a game that costs only $20 on the Xbox. Make it the same price and I will happily pay that for the PS3 version.

Ciro .. I haven't claimed anything about Mass Effect at all? I said Shooters are nowhere as popular of genre as they are on 360 and PC. Which is why anything that involve shooting outside major franchise like MW will never have 360 like success. Look at Playstations most hyped games these past gens how many of them are full on shooters? theres lots of FF and Metal Crash JRPG jak spyros ext how many are shooter?

Mass Effect 2 ps3 will do 1 million

and it finally dropped in price JUST IN TIME

i d*mn sure wasn't going to buy this game full price when it took a year to release on ps3

year old port's GET NO LOVE in my book

atleast until they hit the $20-$30 range used or new
