contrary to what most PS3 owners want you to believe we dont want it. PS3 users are not shooter fans evident by sales of SONY's 1st party offering.

Mass Effect 2 is more of an RPG than a shooter. It has more character development and options than the majority of RPGs this gen. Also your statement makes no sense because according to 3rd party "offerings", PS3 users are shooter fanatics.

If by party offering you mean MW .. I purposely didnt include that due to the fact its the Final Fantasy of the genre you buy it regardless of being a actual fan of genre.. outside of MW what shooters even come close to 360 shooter numbers?

I just got it last week. Put 12 hours into the game, and I'm loving it so far. Garrus is my favorite character by far. Mordin is also cool. Would have put more hours into it if it weren't for Netflix and getting two other games in the same day.

The game is $40 now. I ordered it online during the Best Buy buy 1, get 1 50% off deal. So I got it for $20. :)

Bought it the day it came out on the PS3 and finished it including all DLCs a long time ago.
Just waiting for Me3 now...

As for the game being a shooter, if ME2 is a shooter, so is  Uncharted which last i checked did pretty well on the PS3......

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Well, I know you accounted for the 'year-old port' thing, but most people who bought this game also bought the original game. In this case, having the whole series is an absolute must, as seeing the repercussions of your actions in the first game on the events of the second and third is a huge part of the draw.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Why would you exclude Call of Duty?

Once again, you're making no sense because if PS3 owners were not shooter fans then why would they buy a shooter, even if it is CoD? Plus the most popular new IP by Sony is Uncharted, which is a shooter. Besides, non-shooter 1st party IPs by Sony don't sell much better than their shooter counterparts (except for GT). But looking at your profile, I can see you're biased because you're a "JRPG junkie" and you don't like shooters, so I don't think your opinion strikes as very valid.

Actually Uncharted is more like Tomb Raider which PS fans are accustomed to ... btw Uncharted series sells nowhere near 360 levels RPG's, Fighters, Platformers, Action/Adventure and racing games are PS genre's

That's true, and that is this reason why I fear ME3 will bomb on the PS3 really bad. But so far I haven't noticed any negative repercussions in my game from not have a ME1 save. Even if you have your ME1 save you can pretty much destroy all of your relationships and change your actions in ME2. So this game is still welcoming to new-comers.

The same reason there are tons of ppl who only buy FF but no other RPG? and Uncharted is like Tomb Raider which PS fans are accustomed to which xxplains its success.. im JRPG junkie because I like JRPG's not because I dont like shooters .. ( and if its the J vs W RPG thing ... I dont considered ME a RPG up this point so that doesn't matter)
