I've never had to buy a replacement system due to failure. I did replace a DS Phat with a DSi XL though. I've also had multiple portables of the same type in the same residence plenty of times, but they were all different peoples.

3 360's, upgraded my pro to an elite, and then to a slim.

Bought various gameboy colours over the years too.

I might add, never had any peice of gaming HW die on me!

2x XBox 360: the very first small pack (Core?), Slim
...

I'd like to have tons of Dreamcasts, all those editions. But money .... ;)

one PS2, one PS3.

If I was in the market for another Blu-ray player (which may come around in a year or so) I'd be sorely tempted to get a 2nd PS3 rather than a stand alone Blu-ray player.

2X artari 2600 1st was a mini still works then found the regular 2600 came with games i didnt have for cheap

3X PS2 1st one had freezing issues 2nd one was still a fat model had it through the majority of the gen then it wouldnt send rumble signal to controllers so bought a slim
3X PS3 1st one YLOD fixed it still have it cause its a 60gb then bought a slim and recently bought another b/c of great deal, was last of the slims models that came with leds, incase my 1st slim breaks i didnt want to replace it with the striped down new slims and wanted to have 3 PS3s

-Three Playstation 2's (two broke. Acquisition of the third may not have been 100% legal....)

-Three Xbox 360's (one broken/sold. One in the living room. One in the game room)

I only had one Nes, Snes, Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, and Dreamcast. They served me well.

2 PSones ( I broke the first one), 2 xboxes ( Left the first in Mexico), and 2 DS (A baby threw the first one inside a fish tank)
