"use the processing power of the psvita without sacrificing cpu time on ps3"??

does that mean psvita adds blast processing to the ps3!!!

no it means developers can simalteneously develop for VITA and PS3

they don't have sacrifice PS3's CELL power to run the same game on VITA.VITA will handle the PS3 level programs

Nice find, but could have cleaned up the presentation a little bit. anyways, the conclusion is that it is easy to build apps for it, be it games or otherwise. Now we just have to wait a couple of years to see if it will have part of the iOS developers attention. That wouldn't hurt.

It does not mean that at all.

The quote is talking about handing off of Vita control when connected to a PS3, my point proven because the rest of the slide talks about PS3-Vita interconnectivity. It does not mean that a Vita can run PS3 level programs. Stop inciting bullshit rumours like this.

not saying it will run PS3 level programs as that would take space and drain battery power off vita

the way the code is processed and that which PS VITA and PS3 experiences can match on those devices itself is what it talk about.

PSP already had what u are tlaking about so it would be useless

Hence being in small quotes.

This has nothing to do with development at all. It's about interconnectivity.

ok Vita we get it, you love dick slapping the haters.

OT: this will be the first handheld I would have owned since the GBA

Looks like sony might have their shit togetehr at launch for once.

However while its nice that they are comparing it to a PSP screen resolution which is 6 years old but in terms of modern screens its really not THAT impressive.

960x544 at 5 inches has a pixel density of 220 dpi.
My year old LG Windows phone 7 which uses the middle of the road 800x480 resolution at 3.8 inches 2.45 dpi.

Something like Iphone 4 or any high end cell phone device coming out in 2011 is quite a bit higher than Vita screen res.

But who knows, maybe the contrast and response is class leading. 120hz refresh rate maybe?? :)

Looks pretty good. Once it drops in price to sub-$200 it will certainly take off.

I do wish Nintendo would pay close attention to the inter-connectivity of console to portable as well as network features/chat/etc as they are set up really nice.

However, your title regarding apps and the op don't really jive. Its android based so yes, there will be apps... but nothing in those slides really suggested much as they focused on game developers... not app developers.
