Forums - PC - From Dust (PC) - Ubisoft's bait and switch?

While I doubt I would have bought it right now, it still looked like a cool concept to check out. However, if you're interested in the game, you might want to hold off at least for a little while.

It's being reported that even after Ubisoft said that the DRM will be a one time activation, it appears the game is using annoying DRM anyway. Not only that, it appears that the porting quality is rather shoddy and that it lacks many graphical options to tweak the game. This includes the game being locked to 30fps. Not only that, people are saying that they've gotten a refund on their purchase because the DRM. I'm not totally sure on that because I've also read people saying they were refused a refund.

Bad form Ubisoft, way to screw the paying customers.

*edit* Supposedly the game is already cracked too, lol.

Yeah, Steam is giving out refunds because of this. Also, of course the game is cracked. Ubusoft can't be happy about this. I got HOMM6 and I already have the pirate versions because I can play them offline at my leisure.

Yay a reason to pirate this game, i wanted to give this a go and now i dont have to pay a cent. Thanks Ubisoft for a free game. No guilt piracy love it.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

When will people learn that you never ever buy Ubisoft games unless it's like 2,5 euro on steam sale ?

...And this is exactly why Ubisoft's games get pirated. It's like they ported over the code from consoles so it barely runs on PC, then slapped on one of the worst forms of DRM ever created.

Looks like the refunds are official. Hmm, this seems to fly in the face of Ubisoft saying that their DRM was working and people were okay with it.
