It's not so easy.

It's more likely a payback mechanism - PS3 owners had to listen to so much bullshit in 2007-2008 that they gladly took the chance to payback and rub some salt into fresh wounds when the sales card turned due to slim release.

Like I said, you shouldn't try to categorise people, I rarely see people proclaiming themselves as PS3 fans and trying to be different to everybody else, they are just gamers who prefer the PS3 but never draw attention to it.

You can't expect there to be an equal amount of people who prefer the PS3 to people who prefer the XBOX 360. People always bat for the stronger team, there were more XBOX 360 fans before 2008 in the same way there are more PS3 fans after 2008, when the platform is at its strongest.

And as for XBOX 360 fans being level headed, I disagree with that. I often see them putting their heads together on eachothers channels and "ganging up" together, almost like they are rallying support for the XBOX 360. I mean this is understandable as people who prefer the XBOX 360 are becoming a "minority", but it still wasn't right. They are very hostile towards people who aren't XBOX 360 fans and from my experience they are pretty delusional, they were the reason why I lost patience, made trollish posts and quit the site for a year.

Anyway...I think I have said enough, just don't try to divide people, I get on with almost everybody here, Nintendo, Microsoft and SONY "fans", because they call themselves gamers and don't go on about how they prefer one console. I think in some ways it's a lot like racism :L there is a far more positive atmosphere when people don't bring up how much they loving being black / white etc.

THis. It' s kind of like sports, people jump on bandwagons when a team is good and jump off when they start to suck. Just look at Nintendo, where were all these "fans" in the GC era when it was getting spanked?? Where was the support then? You heard nearly a peep from them. I heard more from the xbox fans even

In the early days it was 80% Nintendo fans getting together and slinging mud at the PS3. I guess there was much rejoicing after the PS2 slaughtered the competition left and right that Sony was on the receiving end. Then the PS3 fans arrived to defend their console. So it has mostly been about Sony and Nintendo on this site. MS was kind of left out of the loop all along - except for a few crazed fans like Madskillz and gebx that would put their life on the line for MS.
