July:
Xbox - 277k (69k Average weekly)
PS3 - 148k (37k Average weekly)
PS3 has 2 weeks in August without price cut so will likely be around 30 - 35k a week (60 -70k)
It all depends on how much this price cut boosts the PS3.

voted "maybe" but for the record that was a "maybe - not likely" as oppose to "maybe - should be close".
I don't think so, with many students going back to school, the X360 deal with HP and Dell will keep the X360 numbers higher than the PS3, even with its price cut. I believe the margin will be closer (instead of 22+k per week more like 8-10k)
I don't know really, I think the PS3 will outsell the XBOX 360 (in America) for a few weeks and possibly beat it in overall sales for August, but come September sales will be back to normal.

I greatly doubt it.
TBH people are overstimating this pricecut, it will be strong (like Wii pricecut pre-adjustments
) but I certainly don't expect it blow away like many expect it to.
likely. it should but i'm not counting on it. its all about wht you expect.

My gut feeling is it won't be long till 360 gets a price cut. Whenever we see one console cut the price, typically the other is not far behind ..
