Forums - Gaming - So, I just don't feel like gaming anymore. Magic is gone.

It helps if you actually have something to play, so far this year all I've had is Mortal Kombat and a few XBLA games, and yeah I feel the same, although I can jump back easily into gaming.

I'm hoping coming September when loads of games start coming out my interest is revitalised.

I had the same problem. Perhaps it's time to check out the PS1/PS2/PS3/PSP and/or Xbox/Xbox 360

No it does not help if you have something to play. That just worsens it.

Just take a break. I am. I have been trying to replay some old Gamecube games and stopped playing them right in the middle of the story. Even great classics like Pokemon Colosseum, Super Smash Bros Melee, and this Simpsons game. The only game that I was able to finish was Pikmin.

Its probably the season too. Its summer you should be out hanging with friends or playing a sport of some sort. That's what happens to me during the summer. But my interest re-ignites during school. Not good for my grades though.

Might I suggest you try to play some PC games? Don't worry about running the newest ones, they are shit anyhow. I just recently replayed Deus Ex and holy shit did I remember how awesome gaming was before the current consoles.

I've felt the same way. I've been selling games and cutting back lately.

I've gotten back into Super Smash Melee recently, however. That's still awesome.

well i'm back-cataloged myself and rely don't play much but i spend to much time here anyway.

u mentioned games you've already play'd. do you fill the same way with new games, not to mention there isn't much out for the Wii anyway so there may be some justification for this. do you have any hype for new games coming out?

i'll tell ya wht. when you stop talking about games and decide to leave the site then let us know and ww'll send you off with a big bang, but until then you'll be fine.

I feel this way to but I figured out what was wrong. The japanese presence on consoles have died down considerable to me. Im a huge JRPG fan and their existence on consoles has been really flat. FFXIII was a disappointment to me and now that my 60GB died I can't even enjoy going back to play some of my PS2 RPGs. The last game I invested hours into was inFamous 2. Im slowly playing BioShock 2 and while it's good I don't find myself investing hours into it. I think you just need something fresh. Today I picked up Enslaved and Im hoping it can tide me over until I can find a place that is selling Catherine.

But for me the lack of JRPGs are killing me.

If you have an XBOX 360 you should check out Tales of Vesperia, it's an excellent game, very unique.

I do...it's hard as fuck to track down.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

I don't know how people can play games over and over again. My favorite game of all time is MGS3 and I've only played it through twice.

Might I suggest getting into more online oriented games? Online play can be addicting and really extend the amount of time you play a game. I'll probably take a huge amount of crap for this, but I've found Black Ops to be addictive as hell, and its literally been the only game I've played for the last 7 months.

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Take a break from gaming and move on to other things, then return later. Unless you have a life calling to do stuff constructive with games, the games are a form of entertainment, and can get tiring. Go see a movie, read a book, or go out and socialize. See what else you may be missing from your life, and do that.

I'm in the same boat...I just don't feel like playing anything other then WP7 games these days.

Maybe i'll just quit gaming for a while.
