Anyone know why my 3DS won't connect to the internet? I run a 3G connection and can't connect my 3DS to that, so I went out looking today for a few free Wi-Fi spots and a few places that offered them. I couldn't connect to any of them for some reason. Anyone know why this might be? I'd really like to get these free games before the time is up.

That's strange, maybe you made some wrong choice during setup? Unfortunately I don't recall the setup details any more, what I do seem to recall is that there were one or two choices to be made that weren't necessarily obvious to me, and if that is the case, maybe you made some wrong choice.

If your on a 3G connection and your PC has a wireless networkcard, you could try downloading connectify. It turns your pc/laptop into a wifi hotspot. Thats how I connect my 3Ds to the internetz. Only problem is that connectify doesnt support all brands/models of wificards. just google it.

I dunno. It seems pretty straight forward setting up an Internet connection. Just search for a hotspot, save the profile, and it attempts to establish a connection. I tried doing that for all the ones I tried, but none of them worked. I hope someone else can help me out here.

Thanks, I might try that. The only thing is that it might eat up my limited data. Still if worst comes to worst I might try that. Thanks for the info.
