GemCraft is the best one out there. It is a free game, computer only. Can be found on armorgames or kongregrate. I perfer armorgames because then you can take your save to any computer.

On iOS devices there is a really good one, I believe the name of the game is Tower Defense Zero.

Crystal Defenders is also good on PSP.

Toy Soldiers is an awesome game. It's really fun and unique, and the diversity of the camera angles sort of allow you to play the game in a few different styles, either as an RTS/ God game, as a third person shooter, or an FPS.
