GemCraft is the best one out there. It is a free game, computer only. Can be found on armorgames or kongregrate. I perfer armorgames because then you can take your save to any computer.
On iOS devices there is a really good one, I believe the name of the game is Tower Defense Zero.
Crystal Defenders is also good on PSP.
