Actually not really. It beat both the original xbox and gamecube.

with vita so close and no new games i cannot fathom why anyone would buy a psp at this point. oh well, gratz sony!

Well if you think about it PSP is the only portable with somewhat solid games lineup in 2011.
NDS barely gets anything anymore 3DS hasn't received it's big games yet.

Also it's the best console if you are after jrpgs/srpgs at the moment.

What did PSP get this year besides duodecim 012?

 

Anyways I was looking through the games and wow they are very cheap now. Crisis core and war of the lions for $10! Now I am very tempted to buy the PSP again. I guess the 3DS will have some competition this holiday season after all!

Dissidia, Tactics Ogre, 3rd Birthday, Persona 3 Portable (european release), Trails in the Sky, Gods Eater, Patapon 3 some smaller games .

 

And it still has game in pipeline for 2011/2012 like second part of TiTS , Fate/Extra, Hakuoki (first otome game release in USA iirc), Persona 2.

i stand corrected. Not bad at all for a "dead system in the west"

I got one recently mainly because it has a great library right now and it's really cheap

Although all I've been playing on it so far is Persona 3 Portable, so good

It's a great game, but I hope that they release it on the PSV with all the animations and stuff, but keeping the improvements on gameplay. Same goes for P4.
