i'm pretty sure everyone who says its useless , didn't even try it.
its fun, Kinect Sports is fun for everyone, thats what it's designed to do, and thats what is doing, so its useful.

Point?

It does the same thing the Wii does, only worse.

Worse?

Seems to me that tracking up to 48 points on a person's body is better than just 2.

Dance Central > Just Dance for example

It loses out with lag.

And your example, I think, is the only one that holds up. Everything else the Wii is more natural in. Wii Sports, for example.

There is no lag in Dance Central...

Also, pretty much any sports and fitness title on Kinect > on Wii.

Yes there is =P it's just not noticeble due to the nature of the game. Also, yes, anything cardio is better on Kinect, but I don't call WiiFit a game, so I can't call those games, and we are gamers, nothing worthwhile yet on the gaming front besides Dance Central, and the only thing they are adding in 2 is really just 2 players at once, ZOMG, multiplayer!!?!? nowai! yeah.... it's a cool game though, I won't deny that.

Sounds like he needs a hug.

Anything cardio is better outside...

Excellent, it appears that all bets are off. It is now acceptable to say that this is right and is a fact? We have staff from this site saying it is a fact that Kinect is "fucking shit"

So if I say I think a Wii game, Wii peripheral, Sony game, Sony peripheral is fucking shit that's acceptable? I just need to know for future reference.

This thread and some contributors need moderating.

Yeah but there are things that are shit on all consoles, who are you refering to anyways? lol, there is like no quote or anything.

there are also people that are too fat and are embarrassed to go outside or goto the gym, though that's also why I have high respect for the few super fat people that goto my gym, takes a lot of balls.

Why does he not hate MOVE?

If he hates motion controls then thats up to him. He has no class and is a pretty piss poor representative of his company but he will learn when he grows up a little.

Other than they seem to have a bit of an issue with MS and take every opportunity to bash them. No other developer thinks its a "fucking joke" or if they do they have more class than to be so childish about it.

I realise however that such a quote is manna from heaven for the OP and many others here.

At this point in time, Move doesn't exist anymore.

Yes it does but the difference with move is games aren't really made for it, games are just given an added option to use it as a controller and it actually works, so we are getting the same games people who just want to play it with move instead of a controller can, so it doesn't take anything away from anyone so nobody who doesn't own it cares.

What games have Move controls? I have seen the HD Wii Sports and I think one other.

I ask in seriousness as I greatly prefer wiimote to dual analog and would consider an FPS with move on my PS3.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_compatible_with_PlayStation_Move

Including Killzone 3, Heavy Rain, Toy Story 3, Ruse, Oddworld several different genres

ok, 1) why isn't this advertised and 2) are any of the controls actually good... similar to Metroid Prime 3 or Conduits

Sony advertises all their MOve titles, hell they advertise most of their 1st party titles anyway. As for 3rd parties outside of RE5 i dont know why, but alot of those games are not advertised anyway. Fact is there are more MOve compatible games than there are for motion+ and Kinect COMBINED. and its the worst selling one. Either SOny is really good at getting support and the Move is that easy to work for. Or Ninty and MS suck at getting support and the motion+ & Kinect are pains in the ass to work for

For your 2nd point all those games control just as well. I have Wii and PS3, so im not trying to sell you a dream. Killzone3 is just as good as the best FPS on Wii. Dont know about MAG

OT I like Kinect, Dance Central is good and IMHO Kinect Sports is a better version of WiiSports and Sports Champions. If you dont agree, play the boxing portion on WiiSports and then play the Kinect version. Kinect is so much better that its not even funny. Its not something i would rush to get a 360 for as im still not sure that "core" games would work just as fine. Fable looks ho-hum, SWs looks lame and voice chat for ME3 is not innovating. They could do that for the PS3 version using the PSeye, hell WiiSpeak could probably do it.

That's why the one time I don't make fun of fat people is when they are working out and get pissed at people who do make fun of them when they are trying to get better.

Seriously, that's what it feels like.

It's just feels like an indy developer that's horribly insecure.

Which is kinda odd, since they're big game is in a genre that's ALREADY dead... who ironically, got it's "big revival" this generation, on the wii to start with.

So it's not like motion controls are a real threat like a lot of 3D games.

There are Three Types of Games

1. Immersion Type: Games designed to draw the player in and experience a whole away from there own.(no other media can do this as well as games)

2. Non Immersion type games: Games designed for entertainment purposes, rich game play experiences is all that is required.

3. Social Games: Games designed to provide entertainment with multiple people, they are also non immersion type games.

There is many games that mix and match with this but the Kinect and motion controls fit into the 2 and 3 category. They can provide a social experience and can provide a enjoyable non immersion experience. But try and create a full on rich story and try to suck the player in experience on the kinect, its not going to happen, not any time soon (full motion controls, VR rooms maybe).

And the Haters are hating the kinect because they are worried that there Immersion category is dieing and they dont need what left being made with motion controls. And to be clear the second 2 category are the cheapest and have the widest audience. A publisher is more inclined to make the next Happy face sports collection then the next skrim because skrim costs 50-100 million dollars, takes several years and has a small brutal market thats highly connected and one mistake can cost big, compared to a game thats takes less an a year and a few million and the market has no clue or cares ifs its good or not. And Publishers shouldn't try to get the best of both worlds and take skrim for example and make it a kinect game so they can get there cake and eat it too.

And since you dont need to be a gamer to be in the industry and since the big publishers are public, the share holders want people who are going to return them big money, so they hire in big business people who dont care about games but about there 6 figure income who sees the 2 two category crowds as the profitable one to go after.

So what gamers can do to get more category 1 games made, and more unique one not the 12th edition to the one released 8 years ago is to buy more games from developers making these unique experiences (Deus Ex looks like one you should be buying) and others like (hard reset looks good) and the high rate priacy isn't helping these experiences get made either because they dont see it like you. They dont see "Oh look our game is low on sales, next time lets really improve it, and listen to what the fans be wanting", they see it as "That game failed, market doesn't want this type of game, look we have one in development, lets cancel it to reduce risk and get these two studios making 3 kinect and wii titles right away".

I have had enough ranting.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong
