I usually get receipts every year for christmas. Doesn't bother me or the people I know. |
Really? o.O
Well, I can see it for gifts between adults. But a handheld is (at least for me) a gift more suited for kids, and as such voucher is a "bad" gift, something that doesn't express love.
But maybe it's just me.
Please excuse my bad English.

I don't remember ever getting 250$ gifts from parents ;) Getting stuff this costly usually required combined cash gifts from family members.

Missed window by Sony. Should release the Vita in the holiday season to compete with the 3DS.
It's just that simple.

I think it actually has good software to launch in the west but rather weak software for Japanese launch based on the games announced.
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
Blah, all well. It will give developers more time to have games available near release I guess.

True that's why Sony needs to launch there first to offer sizable market for japanise games.
For west lineup they seem to be doing good job themselves.

Expected for Europe but I think that this is a very bad move for Sony to delay in America IMO.
Just for fun lets say that the PSV is more popular than the 3DS to people if they had no friends LOL. Now lets say those same people had a lot of friends...and they all got 3DS's for Christmas! Now people buy a 3DS instead of a PSV for they can play with their friends.
The big point is that this could end up like the 360 against PS3 in America. 360 got a 1 year advantage which made people later on get a 360 because their friends had it.(Not saying that is the only reason why the 360 outsells PS3 in America but I heard from many people that they would have picked PS3 but got a 360 instead because their friends had 1)
...3DS is the 360 and PSV is the PS3. Also, the Holiday's are a huge thing for games and kids and missing it is a bad move for Sony IMO.

the only reasons for this move that I can think of are 1. something to do with ps3 price cut 2. 3ds price cut 3. logistics issue and being unable to supply promtly all regions from the get go |
1 trend i think people are forgeting here is that Sony does good during Janauary before thte spring sales fall t there usual levels.
