Come on folks it's not like kids can't ask their parents for a full Pre-Order of the console for Christmas.

What kind of Christmas present is that?

"Hi son, instead of giving you a console to play and enjoy now, Santa has decided to give you this piece of paper that says that in X months you can get a PSV...  Now you can go to your cousin's house to show him the paper while he plays Mario/Zelda/Starfox on his new 3DS."

Now seriously, this is very bad news for Sony and very good news for Nintendo after the recent fiasco.

I usually get receipts every year for christmas. Doesn't bother me or the people I know.

Really? o.O

Well, I can see it for gifts between adults. But a handheld is (at least for me) a gift more suited for kids, and as such voucher is a "bad" gift, something that doesn't express love.

But maybe it's just me.

I don't remember ever getting 250$ gifts from parents ;) Getting stuff this costly usually required combined cash gifts from family members.
