Forums - General - Compulsory organ and blood donation for criminals?

That evil, prison blood would quickly overtake my honest blood, holding it hostage. Then, I'd turn evil and only be saved after a transfusion of heroic Chuck Norris blood. Then, I'd grow a mustache and I don't really like having a mustache. Yes, I've thought about this countless times before and in the end, I realized that it just isn't worth it.

I dunno I already am on the donor list and I think every decent citizen is as well. I mean when you die what good are your organs in the ground? Now blood donations is something else, the person giving the blood is alive, their for it should be their choice. Also donating things like limbs and outer body parts would be wrong. I think everyone is entitled to a decent funeral and that means no touching the outside.

As for donating to science, hell no. These organs should be used to save peoples lives directly. If someone wants to donate their organ to be used for science thats up to them, however organs used to save lives should always be used!

But as the need for blood and organs increases, we have to take these measures, surely?

No. We let people die. As far as I'm concerned, I don't want to force anyone - even criminals - to donate his/her organs. And if it somehow kills me in the future, so be it.

Only if someone has been executed would I support such extreme measures. Without a doubt from the moment your born all your organs belong TO YOU with no expiration date. Why should some random person be entitled to my organs if I die? What right does anyone have to my organs when I die. Why should people has to go on a registry to say that they don't want there organs donated. I mean if people wanted to donate their organs they would say so. Many people want to remain whole when they die and don't want people carving up there body and should not have to tell people "please don't steal my organs they belong to me seeing as how they are literally a part of me.

PSWii

foolish idea,completely idiotic

we should better correct the economy and separate cultures so that nobody has to commit a crime

OP got it exactly wrong. The argument of

Criminals should be forced to be organ donors

should be replaced with

People who aren't organ donors should be considered criminals.

Your organs can save about a dozen lives, so the punishment should be the same as if you killed 12 people.

That's really extreme, I hope you're joking...

You can also say, "you could save lives by becoming a police officer, so everyone who's not a policeman should get charged with murder".

Um. I think that would be cool if only those prison lords aren't doing something to their prison buddies or to anyone who drops the soup during at night or whatever time they feel like it. I'm not interested with something that could jeopardize my health even more if ever I need an organ transplant or blood transfusion. I'm sure most people are like me.

Yes, I am completely serious. I believe that the law should be changed such that everyone is an organ donor, and that acting to keep your own, or someone else's organs from saving people's lives should be punishale by very long jail times.

I don't appreciate it when people strawman my arguments, please do not do so in the future.

I certainly did not strawman your argument. You were saying that failure to explicitly save a life should be punishable as if you murdered someone, or were you not?
