Now I'm not suggesting Nintendo will bite the dust but with stocks imploding etc...etc.. I just thought for a second what I would do if Nintendo actually died.
For me Nintendo and Jesus are the only constants in my life. I have had Nintendo games and played Nintendo games since I was three on my Atari 2600. I grew up with Donkey Kong and Jump Man, Mario Bros and the later NES/SNES versions. Nintendo played such a huge role in my life growing up its not funny.
As long as I can remember I have been playing Nintendo games and loyally buying every Nintendo system as soon as their released. At one point I liked Sega and Sony as well but Sega bit the dust and Sony went astray and I stopped enjoying their software. But Mario , Donkey Kong , Zelda, Star Fox these games were my bread and butter. Nintendo content has helped me through depression, helped me when I was sick. Helped me in school. I have always had Nintendo games to play and count on Nintendo to keep me entertained.
So what would I do if suddenly Nintendo bit the dust?
I don't have a clue, I would freak. I would probably start spending all my money collecting the past Nintendo consoles and games to cling on to some form of existance. I would turn to fanmade content to get my fix, sure I'd buy the next X-Box but a huge part of my life would be missing. I don't know what I would do without Nintendo games.
So how big of a role has Nintendo played in your life? If Nintendo were to go bankrupt tomorow what would you do? What effect would the loss of Nintendo have on your life?
