1. He wsn't forced to cut his salary. It was 100% voluntary. Remember that Nintendo has profited more than $25 billion in the past decade. He could have kept hsi salary if he wanted too.
2. He also cut the upper management salaries by 30%.
3. Common workers salary were never in jeopardy. Only the management responsible for the errors in the 3DS launch, planning and pricing structure are affected.
