Forums - PC - GameFront: PC Gaming Ain’t About the Graphics

I've been a PC gamer, and an off-and-on console gamer, most of my life and never thought it was all about the graphics. It was more about cost. My parents were more willing to buy a family computer than they were willing to buy us a new console every couple of years. These days, I love the fact that I can download indie titles like Amnesia on a PC, or get to play Telltale Games episodic adventures, or try out the latest MMO. I can't do all of that on a console.

(I still love consoles too though! Just for different reasons.)

This is a benefit. Though essentially if you limit yourself to just indie games theres no reason to get a more than 500 dollar computer >_>

But I can play PS2, wii, GC, and below consoles on it.
Graphics are a big bonus. Framerate, is usually better because most console games aren't 60FPS. Or in SoTC case it goes to like single digits :-/.
Controls, at times extra software is required. I can map controls anyway I want them.

Of course not, it produces gems like this:

That video is just wrong.
