I predict ps3 will have 30 million sellers by year's end, and that the 360 would make 25M. As for wii I cant predict anything yet..



 

 2008 end of year predictions:

PS3: 22M

360: 25M

wii: 40M

Nintendo will keep up with demand, and all of humanity will be working in making more wii's for nintendo, and ofcouese by the end of the year wii would have sold 7 Billion.

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Wii: 60 million
40 million sellers.

PS3: 20 million
25 million sellers.

X360: 30 million
45 million sellers.

DS: 90 million
60 million sellers.

PSP: 40 million

None of these are JL predictions... there is not nearly enough writing.

John Lucas's predictions may be unbelievable but his 20 million Wii's by the end of 2007 came really close to happening. It's going to be off by about 2% I think. Not too bad for a prediction that no one believed was possible.

 But it was only the prediction part (ie summary) not all the text backing up that prediction with other predictions (ie whatever he predicted (China?) to make the 40M sales this year)

So far, I'd say, mine,  Zack, Avianash and Xeo are worthy of a 'JL prediction'.  Mine might not even count because it is too close to the present!!

 The most unlikely ones to come true, imo  (ie the most JL like)

Zack-  ps3 will have 30 million sellers by year's end    -   21M sales?  Hmmm.

Avianash - Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008  -  Maybe the easiest of the lot.

Xeo -  X360: 30 million  -  30 million?  How far did MS drop the price??
