I roll my eyes at my peers trying to even the odds here and vote 100% objectively and honestly.

Every single videogame released in the past twenty years has been, to some degree, influenced by ideas that originated in Miyamoto's work. No, I'm not going to go into detail to explain how fighters and racers were, so you're going to have to suck it up and figure it out on your own or get over it. But everything borrows an idea from Miyamoto's games, or else it borrows an idea that was borrowed that was based on a Miyamoto idea.

Miyamoto is now beyond his prime and a cocky bastard, but his influence is undeniable.

If Butler beats the father of Final Fantasy I will cry for a month.

Too bad Yu Suzuki had to go up against Miyamoto. I would had liked to see him get farther than this.

Anyway, my vote goes to Shigeru Miyamoto.

It's a shame to have those great icons of our industry fight for our vote so early on. Even more if you think that there have been other match ups where we had to choose the least bad....

Given that both are awesome developers I have to vote based on other factors: for his charisma, my vote goes to Miyamoto.
