yeah right ... the flop of recent FF and MGS games prooves it . Fable will be a million seller , but it will not push hardware . Halo Wars is not the old FPS game , and except the avid Halo fans , whom allready have a 360 nobody will buy a console for this game . Too Human will be a sim iklar hit as Mass Effect , but not bigger , and I dont see that game boosting hardware significantly ... oh and Alan Wake ... that game may not even be a million seller . Now , most PS3 owners got their PS3 thinking about MGS4 and FFXIII , and knowing that even this two games may warant their high-priced console . Bealive me , MGS and FF are far from beeing tired IPs ... |
If most PS3 owners got their PS3s for MGS4 and FFXIII, then why would you think those title would be system sellers? Wouldn't the people who want these game, by your logic, already own a PS3? |
No its the same thing that happened with Halo 3. Some people got it as soon as possible because they knew they wanted Halo 3. Others waited until the months before and after release to get their 360's.
Same thing with the PS3. Those games are already selling systems and will sell a great deal more when those games are released.
Its like this, GAMES dont really sell system, like a library of games. Its a GAME that sells systems, then a library supports it. So, the PS3 has lots of games that sell systems (you know a list) then it has games like Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, COD4, Rock Band, Warhawk that support the system.
The Xbox360 has Halo 3, Gears of War that sell systems. Even though BioShock and Mass Effect were brilliant games, most people pick those up because they bought the system for the other two, and found out that those games were good OR they were about to buy Halo 3 in a month, but heard about that game it bought it early.
I don't think many people bought an XBox360 solely for Mass Effect or Bioshock.
