Forums - Website Topics - Gamrfeed comments

So I have posted a handful of times on the Gamrfeed portion of the site since I signed up. Only to discover a problem with the way that comments are organized. The problem is that the comments are organized by the amount of agrees they have. I can see how someone thought this was a good idea, keep the best comments at the top, or something. But in reality it is pretty stupid. It makes arguments rather had to follow or even have, and new comments are forever banished to the bottom. Leaving the comment section for more or less one liners.

A system where the posts are organized chronologically would be much nicer, and would work for more discussion in the comments of articles. Just my two cents...

Around the Network

Agree, maybe keep banishing the negative ones, but when new comments are lost in the middle it's just lame

I think they should do the youtube way of things where it shows the couple highest rated comments on the top then go by the most recent comments and keep the negative one's that are below the threshold at the bottom.

You are using the system wrong. If you want to participate in an argument, you shouldn't use the general comment box, but the reply button on the comment you want to respond to which then transforms an isolated comment into its own thread of discussion.

The real problem is that the website doesn't send you a notification whenever someone responds to one of your comments, even though that's exactly what the notifications page on your profile should be used for. So if somebody had to say something about a comment you posted, you may never know unless you regularly go back and check on your own.

If this was a reply to an article, I'd give you a thumbs-up for this comment :)
