Forums - Sony - Developers that Sony needs to buy

We all know about Sony's massive Worldwide Studios group, and their ever-growing list of exclusive partnerships, but with the Vita coming up, I think that Sony should buy move devs so they can adequately support the Vita.

1. Insomniac Games

Why? Insomniac has a lot of respect in the industry, and a lot of employees. They would be a valuable asset to Sony if Sony bought them out. They also make a wide variety of games.

2. thatgamecompany

Why? They are a small, but creative studio that makes quirky and well- recieved games. All they need is a little funding and growth from Sony, and they can be the next big thing. They have great potential, and with Sony's help, they can unleash it.

3. Lightbox Interactive and Eat Sleep Play

Lightbox Interactive, an Eat Sleep Play both are composed of members from Incognito/SingleTrac. They made the origional Warhawk and Twisted Metal games, and can make a lot more if  Sony bought them out  and merged them.

Others

Tarsier Studios

Sanzaru Games

Level 5

Housemarque

oh one of the threads that come out every 6months or so :D but it's still interesting

they recently bought that company that handles VR games so don't think they will get any new studios anytime soon

BUT what they need are two things imo

1. more devs to make games exclusively for PSV...a dev like Ready @ Dawn for example who can really make some great portable games

2. RPG dev to make some exclusive RPGs. Not sure who would be good for this position tbh since I'm not a big fan of RPG's. someone like darth or xxen would know more on the subject.

yea i think it would be better for them to help smaller companies grow then buy the out.

now wht Sony should really do is go after every independent dev and have them develop something exclusive for them.

treat a dev nice and with respect then they will return the favor down the road.

oh and DontNod looks like a promising company..their game adrift will most prob be revealed at GC this year so we will see their worth.

Just buy EA, idc how much it costs.

Monolith Soft. But since they are owned by another non deserving company it will never happen.

Mistwalker and Monolith are good for RPGs, but I doubt either wouldd want to be bought by Sony.

You guys talk like buying studios is like buying a candy.

Bungie for sure. I just can't imagine how great a combination of God of War and Halo will be.
