If he really felt that way I'm sure we could have waited another year before a sequel. LBP has a crazy amount of DLC tying in with other games. It's a obvious way for players to advertise new games and paying Sony to do it. Brilliant.

Activision and EA's music franchises say hello
| Euphoria14 said: "I find it quite depressing that you'd approach designing a game from a point of view of: 'How do we milk people?'," he tells us. "I wouldn't like to work in that kind of environment. When we work on things we're primarily trying to make things that amuse us, that we love. "If I was to work on a game that was about trying to come up with this ultimate business model, or how to sell the most copies… if you spend two or three years of your life making something like that, and then it fails, what a fucking waste of your life. lol don't get me started on CoD
| Bristow9091 said: I know people are saying he's wrong and all but he DOES have a point, Call of Duty/ Modern Warfare is only made for the money (Herp derp I'm trolling CoD!), otherwise their games would try to innovate the genre even further instead of using the same outdated engine with minimal tweaks and the same gameplay over and over. There's a pretty big difference between LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2, and I don't just mean graphics and lighting etc. I mean the way the game plays, you can do so much more, and playing a top down game on LittleBigPlanet 2 is completely different to playing a side scroller on the first, even if they do still have the same spongey feeling... y'know what I mean? They're innovating the genre that they made, which to be honest isn't that hard, but they're setting a barrier for anyone else that want's to join in. Although in all honesty, I think there is a bit of deception here and he really does care about money, these days that's all people care about... got no' money, got no' hookers n' weed. |
