i dont know about the Wii, I think it would still have sold more than the ps3, but i think xbox would be doing worse, still this was the biggest sony problem on this generation. Lets hope they learn from their mistakes and when they launch the PS4 the price is not higher than $400 because they would be shooting their feets again...

If the Wii was launched at that price then it would probably have comparable graphics to the 360 and ps3. I would have to say that both their sales would be lower. Consumer sweet spot for home console system is in the range of ~200-300. Anything over that is going to dampen sales.

Granted they all stayed at the same price for awhile. I'm sure the PS3 would have easily the crushed the lot of them. But if Ninty had panicked and dropped the price down to what it started at then it would have won anyways. Still the 360 would have been crushed

Depends. Would 360 have launched with bluray, free online, wifi and all the stuff PS3 came with? If so, maybe...

depends really. the wii would have had alot more in it if it was priced that high. same for 360.

The speculation is pointless - as the Wii and the Xbox launched at a lower price - with MS looking to lower 360's price again soon it'll be just in time for a holiday sales boost to keep them where they are.. The next gen Xbox may launch ahead of PS4 which ( if Sony lets this happen again ) will force Sony to try and choose whether to loose more market share or beat MS in a price war.. Either way Ive read Sony would like to launch the PS4 in much closer proximity with MS's console this time..
