Sony did not fail PS3, i dont know how anyone could think that when this year alone they have a line up of games that are just as good if not better than the rest. You want to see failures, look at Sega, 32X, Dreamcast, Saturn, hell maybe even Sega CD, the company failed all those consoles. If SOny failed PS3, they would have killed it years ago

Sony started off badly with the whole $599 thing.

Also,  3rd parties are going multi-platform so you can't expect them to just put exclusives on PS3. Especially when it isn't dominating like PS2 did.

Sony misread the market, the consumers didnt fail Sony.

When i say they "failed" i mean did the PS3 become a success that Sony wanted it to be.

I know PS3 has really great games coming out this year alone, but i am sure that Sony would have liked to Maintain America as its #1 country instead of letting the 360 and Wii take over.

I dont think the Sony competely failed the PS3, but it was not as a big of a success as the PS1/PS2 as fair as Hardware sales go.

ps3 will go down in history as the most successful 3rd place console.

Well when you put it that way, I think they're finally hitting the sweet spot. It only speeds up from here on out.
