Hmm I never got around to playing the original Heavenly Sword and I'm a huge God of War fan.

But that being said honestly if I had to choose I would say Heavenly Sword 2 so I'd have a reason to jump into that franchise, I've always been interested in it.

I would go with HS. GOW3 was great and all but after playing all three GOW games on the trot last year I wouldnt mind GOW4 taking a couple more years to come out.

God of War 3 was the first GoW tile I played and after being blown away by the scale, art direction and beautiful graphics of the game it is a shame to say that I was just completely underwhelmed by the game play. I just got bored with it and had to kind of force myself to finish it.

I selected neither as I have not yet played Heavenly Sword so I could not give a fair judgement between the two titles.

I quite enjoyed Dante's Inferno.

Heavenly Swords 2 for Ps3 and God Of War as launch up PS4 title with LBP3...that would be dope!

I would love to see a Heavenly sword not by ninja theory, they're not special anyway!
If It would be from Santan monica studios...WOW that would just be wonderfull!!
I also think God Of War should rest a bit, but I wouldnt care if there was a 4 either :)

Not extremely similar in My opinion, and where is the Both option?

There's already enough GoW for PS3 (gow3, hd collection, psp collection incoming) so only Heavenly Sword 2.
But for next gen probably both.

As both games are pretty much the same type the question is would GOW4 be a better game than HS2 - and based on previous games I would say yes and hence I would prefer GOW4.

HS was not a bad game, it just was not a good one either, repetitive combat and meaningless puzzles it was pretty much enter room, kill everything, move on - repeat. I also found the story in HS to be poor.

That being said I would certainly buy both if they were made and it would be great to see HS2 with a much better story and more variety of gameplay.

Get the guys that make God of war to make Heavenly sword and im sold.  Then you know the game will be fantastic!!!
