You're right. I'm not saying that God of War wont sell alot. It has enough of a user base now to easily be a million seller and I'm sure it will. But I dont think it will help to move more systems. This holiday season the PSP sold out in pretty much every gamestop within a 20 mile radius of me but with no real blockbuster holiday releases for it. It doesnt seem like software is driving sales for the system which is why I dont think God of War will increase sales of psp's. Just my opinion though

God of War is the Metroid of Sony franchises. Those who get it are in for an amazing time. Those who don't wont care what they're missing. It deserves a ton of success, though.

 Wrong ... the SLim was hacked in less than a week afther its release in the US .

 

Anyways CoO will move hardware and software . I expect 2 million LTD , maybe even more if Sony will bundle it with the sistem next year for Christmas :)

Will GoW increased PSP sales? Not in Japan. But I think those who like GoW that much already have PSPs so no.

 Well GoW wasnt the PS2s biggest sistem seller , but CoO will be one of the PSPs biggest games .

Less than a week? Usually products are hacked before their street date. I'm very disapointed in the hacking community. I think it'll move some systems.

Let's just hope this isn't a let down. God of War is far from a proven franchise, the sequel, while great was riding on borrowed steam from the original, if the series can't change itself significantly it will only stagnate. And putting a game like this in the hands of a different development team is far more worrisome than making sequels without the creative genius behind the original.

This game could go either way. If it doesn't do well it could spell worry for GOW3 and kill critical hype for the game.
