If anybody saw that the stock market went down today... this is why.

There was expected to be 125,000 jobs created....

total jobs actually created?  18,000.

AND They downwardly revised the jobs by last month by 44,000.

Just awful...

It's sad that nobody from Wall Street went to jail from this.

Just as sad is that the government knows how to correct this and allow jobs to be created but don't want to let it happen.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

Ya and it's the summer job's should be booming by now! Gonna be a bad winter for a lot of people.

Anyone who's breaking the law is obvious a criminal.

Small businesses create the vast majority of jobs but they bear the brunt of high corporate and personal income taxes, suffer heavily because of excessive regulation and government over-reach, struggle the most under high inflation and require access to credit through financial institutions to grow.

Nothing since the meltdown in 2008 that the government has done actually reduces these burdens for small businesses, and much of what has been done (or is being talked about) actually worsened the burdens for these companies.

Not unexpected.

America's unemployment won't recover until there we fix our crony capitalist problem. Excessive regulation and a shoddy taxation system will continue to hamper job creation.

I dunno.  I mean, i'm a skeptic as much as everyone else, but the number only being 14% of what was predicted I think is unexpected even for the skeptics.

It shouldn't be. What incentive do businesses have to hire more people when we have tax code, regulatory structure and a government that seems to hate small and medium-size businesses?

We're talking about the same government that passed sweeping health care legislation which included wonderful parts like mandatory 1099 filings for every contractor above a certain monetary threshold which took a further act to repeal, then you have all the exemptions and worry about future costs. There is little to desire in the market place for hiring people. With my company, its hard to hire as contracting saves a lot of CFO/HR headache due to the burden of government... So its no wonder that employment data will continue to be weak if not bad.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

This is one of the reasons why I despise the way the world is being ran, it's based off of luck and simple assumptions, how can we go on like this, there must be a better more efficient way.
