Xenosaga developer Monolith Software announced today that it has opened a studio in Kyoto. The developer was previously based exclusively out of Tokyo. As reason for the formation of the studio, the company said that it hopes to expand its partnership with Nintendo as it approaches its fourth year of being a Nintendo subsidiary. Nintendo, of course, is based out of Kyoto as well. News of the Kyoto studio's formation came via a a recruitment page. Monolith is seeking 3DCG designers, management staff, system management staff. Monolith recently entered the headlines as it announced that its latest project is for the Wii U system. The company is also seeking staff for that project. Sounds like their Wii U project needs some additional staff.
